What they do not want

There are many things that women yearn for their sexuality and reproduction. For example, having sex when they are motivated, have their children when they feel they are ready and prepared, and are also pleasure-product, learn about your body in order to explore their sexual potential, find a partner accompany them in a democratic way and share the chores, including raising children, and the list could be very long, but I think these are the basic demands over the years listen to hundreds of women.
But they also have clear they do not want. For example, do not want violence in their lives, do not want suffocating jealousy, do not want pregnancy resulting from rape, do not want three hours of work that leaves no strength to enjoy the good things life can give, do not want to go to post or health services and contraceptive methods are not, do not want to deny them care when they make the difficult decision to terminate a pregnancy for therapeutic reasons, do not want to be spoils of war or victims of rape, they do not want to flirt the tubes without having authorized.
Friend and dear reader, I take leave of this article to talk specifically about women, not because I think that men have needs or desires in their sexuality, but I can not, as a health professional and citizen, abstracted from the context we live in, where issues that have affected the rights of women in the field of sexuality and reproduction have been placed in the public.
Women are 50% of the population, those of childbearing age (15 - 49 years) reach more than seven million citizens, and all deserve to be provided with all information and to obtain their consent to use or no birth control, to submit to surgery to give birth in a particular manner, respecting their traditions, without risking their lives. All women without discrimination deserve respect for their rights. Which can not be brought into play by thoughts and policies that consider women beings without the capacity to make decisions and respond to economic and / or moral, religious, private and personal. The interests of women and their sexual and reproductive aspirations in a democratic country should be above. Everything that was negative and rights can not be cut repeated again and hence the invite and to be vigilant.
